Truly global, our Awards champion projects in 5 regions worldwide, with 20 selected winning entries sharing a prize pool of USD 1M. Asia Pacific entries will be examined by a jury led by Sou Fujimoto, Europe will be presided over by Kjetil Thorsen, Latin America by Sandra Barclay, the Middle East and Africa jury will be led by Lina Ghotmeh, and North America by Jeanne Gang.
The legacy of the Awards is impressive, and many winners have gone on to gain greater international acclaim. Past Holcim Foundation Award-winning projects include New York’s BIG U Dryline by Bjarke Ingels Group and One Architecture, Pritzker Prize-winning Diébédo Francis Kéré’s Gando Primary School in Burkina Faso, and most recently, London’s landmark Natural History Museum Gardens, which was critically acclaimed for its efforts to bring biodiversity back to the city.
The Awards Ceremony will take place at a marquee event on November 20, 2025, in Venice, which will bookend the city’s famous Biennale of Architecture. All winners and jury members are invited to participate in this prestigious ceremony, where the world’s top sustainable design talent can engage in a stimulating, in-person dialogue on the important topic of accelerating industry change.
